San Fernando Roofs We Climb
On these streets the chimneys sit on bungalows and small period houses in the old part of town, modest stucco ranches elsewhere. If your house is near one of the names below, it is on our San Fernando run.

Learn MoreReading the Top of a San Fernando Chimney
Seven miles north of our Van Nuys base, this town was founded by Charles Maclay in 1874 and filled in slowly. Older bungalows mix with stucco ranch blocks, and a third of the housing predates 1950, so soft mortar comes up often. Hot, dry summers give way to cool nights, moving masonry back and forth year after year. Northridge in 1994 damaged older buildings here too, and failed flashing tends to reveal itself during the winter rains.
The Crown
Daily expansion and contraction opens up a thin crown, so we pour a cast one thick enough to take that movement.
Joints and Flashing
Winter leaks often trace back to a failed flashing line, and we reset it into properly cut mortar joints.
Above the Roofline
Older stacks shaken in 1994 may still be loose at the top, so we take those courses down to sound brick.
Booked Alongside
San Fernando roof visits often share a day with Sylmar.
Before Any Repair
Tell us what you see on top of your San Fernando chimney.
A cracked crown, a stain beside the stack, brick that looks out of line. That is enough for us to plan the roof visit, and we explain the build before we quote.
